Online booking for tattoo studios
Inksaro gives each studio one public booking link. Clients pick a service, a person, and a time. The times they see already account for who is working, who is off, what is already booked, and whether a chair is free. The front desk is looking at that same calendar.
What the client steps through
The public page is a four-step wizard:
- Service, browsed through the categories you set up. Consults, flash, large work, and piercing can each live in their own branch. A service only appears online if you turn online booking on for that appointment type.
- Staff and location. Who shows up depends on staff type: the type has to be bookable, and it has to be allowed on the public page. You can also keep a person off a particular service.
- Date and time. Openings come from the weekly schedule, one-off availability, blocked time, appointments already on the book, and workstation capacity.
- Client details. If the service has a deposit, the chair is held while they pay. If it does not, the booking confirms immediately.
The label they see for your team is yours. Set the staff noun once — Artists, Piercers, or whatever you call them — and the booking page uses it.
A slot on the page is a slot you can keep
Availability has two layers. The weekly schedule is the recurring week. One-off days cover guest spots, extra shifts, vacations, and breaks. Marking time as blocked removes it from what clients can take.
Workstations are the chairs or rooms. Capacity is checked for online bookings and for appointments the desk creates. If every station at that location is taken, the time is not offered. Double-booking a person raises a warning before an internal appointment can be saved.
Multi-location studios filter by location. A client books a person at a shop where that person is actually scheduled.
Deposits hold the chair
When the service requires a deposit, the appointment stays pending while the client pays on your Stripe account. The hold lasts one hour. If they do not pay, the time is released. The deposit link can also go out in the confirmation email on the Plus plan, and staff can copy a short /pay/CODE link to text. That path lives on the app. This site does not add a hostname for it. Details are in tattoo appointment deposits.
Clients change the booking themselves
The confirmation includes a manage-booking link. From it a client can view the appointment, cancel it, or reschedule it. A reschedule can change the service, the staff member, the location, the date, and the time, using the same live availability. Rescheduling keeps a paid deposit. The deposit has to be paid already, and more than the studio's cutoff has to be left before the start. You set that cutoff anywhere from 1 to 720 hours. It is 24 hours unless you change it. Cancelling shows a warning that the deposit is forfeited.
How you share it
Studio settings shows the booking URL, a copy button, and a QR code for the counter. An embed mode puts the same flow on a site you already have. You do not run a second calendar for the website.
On Plus, confirmation, reminder, and follow-up emails are editable, and a booking can carry the deposit link, the manage link, and a waiver link when one applies. Those emails are not on the Basic plan.
What this does not do
Inksaro does not text clients for you. Staff copy a message or the payment link and send it from their own phone. It also does not invent open time: if the weekly schedule, the block, or the chair says no, the client does not see that hour.
See Inksaro for tattoo and piercing studios, or the same booking flow for salons, barbershops, nail studios, and spas.
