Digital waivers for tattoo and piercing studios
Inksaro stores a waiver as a versioned template and a signed consent that points at the wording the client saw. A later edit to the template does not rewrite old signatures. The appointment shows a signed or not-signed badge so the desk can see the state before the service starts.
This is a record of what someone signed. It is not legal advice, and a starter template is not a form reviewed for your city. Use wording you are willing to stand behind, and have your own counsel look at it if you need that.
The form follows the service
Templates match procedure kinds. A piercing appointment is shown the piercing waiver, not the tattoo one. Tattoo studios start with tattoo and piercing waivers already loaded. Other businesses can start from templates for chemical treatment, nail service, or skin treatment and edit them. Changing your business type later does not overwrite waivers you already have.
The public form collects contact details, address, birthday, medical conditions the client chooses to enter, photo consent, agreement, and a typed signature. The signature has to match the name on the form. There is no drawn signature image.
How a client signs
Three ways, all on their own phone:
- A studio link or QR code at the counter for that template.
- A personal token link staff send from the customer profile, so the form is tied to that client.
- On Plus, a waiver link in the booking confirmation when the service calls for one.
For a minor, a parent or guardian types their own full legal name instead of the client signing. You can export a PDF of a signed consent for your records. Emailing or filing that PDF outside Inksaro is up to the studio.
What staff see
The appointment dialog shows whether the matching waiver is signed. Staff are not hunting a clipboard for the piercing form while the tattoo form is already in the folder. The signed record keeps the version, so if you tighten the wording next month, September's consents still show September's text.
What this does not do
Inksaro does not decide that a waiver is sufficient for your province, state, or insurer. It does not store a picture of a handwritten signature. It does not send the PDF anywhere by itself.
